Introduction
The Awning Project is hosted by The Spyglass Restaurant in Bristol and provides an exhibition space for artists during it's closed season from November 2007 to March 2008.
The Project is now in it's fifth year and provides an exciting opportunity to show artwork at an unique waterside venue in the centre of Bristol.

In the heart of Bristol’s docks, split between a converted barge and the adjacent quayside in one of Bristol’s most stunning waterside settings.

Wildlife Photography

A leading wildlife life photographer and film maker; Martyn Colbeck has been visiting an elephant named Echo in the Ambesoli National Park, a 60 year old matriarch, for over 17 years. His award winning photographs form a beautiful, haunting and intimate chronicle of one animal’s life in the wild.

The exhibition features work by Gareth Sheehean, Anne Deeming, Gus Cummins, Tristram Tyler and Luke Knight present an opportunity to experience a rich variety of contemporary art.
Boarders & Boundaries
19 January - 31 January
A site specific installation of performance painting, drawings, film and photography by artists and art from Iran, Bristol and Palestine.
Including paintings by Behnaz (see opposite), live mural work by Dunken brothers and Mark Sands, films by Ed Hill and photos and projections by the cowfolk. A must see for those who value free thinking for all!
Lisa Furness, Hetty Dupays and Annie O'Sullivan
2 February - 17 February
A retrospective of Lisa's unusual and atmospheric work - A good introduction to her distinctive and sometimes unsettling approach to the modern urban landscape.
Hetty Dupays paintings inscribe themselves in the Romantic tradition and evoke fleeting impressions or sensations of a specific aspect of nature.
Annie O'Sullivan continues to paint in true monochrome tradition. This aids to create a space, for a deeper consciousness and understanding.
